Gertrud is a hand-knitted shoulder bag made of 100% wool – created from surplus yarn from Ege Carpets. A simple, functional design with an eye for material and detail.

The bag is knitted with a round bottom and sides in knit, interrupted by stripes in purl of varying widths. It is lightly felted, so the surface appears both soft and firm (and water-repellent). The handles and inner lining are knitted as one with the bag.

On the front, there is a small pocket – perfect for glasses or keys. It is inspired by my grandmother, Gertrud, who always knitted a small "sucking pocket" on the hoodies for her great-grandchildren. Here, the pocket has become a loving tribute to her.

Inside, the bag is lined with exclusive surplus fabric from Systuen Pana – a Kvadrat wool fabric, tailored with both a zip pocket and an open slip pocket.

Gertrud is spacious yet manageable. It has room for all the essentials without losing its simple elegance – a bag that feels like your own Mary Poppins-bag for everyday use.

I send packages with GLS and offer free shipping to the parcel shop on orders over DKK 699,-
